What is National Home Improvement Week?
National Home Improvement Week takes place in the second full week of September. It is the moment to deal with the jobs that matter most once the weather turns: heat escaping, draughts, damp, blocked gutters and dark corners outside.
Do them in September and you’ll be warmer, spend less on heating and avoid the call-outs that come with the first storm.
Draught-proofing windows, doors and floors can save around £55 a year, for about £250 professionally fitted. Most of it is a weekend job you can do yourself.
